Students’ Welfare Cell

About the cell

The student welfare cell was formed on Dec 1st 2021 , at GMS Academy First Grade College Davangere. The students welfare cell is the head of all student extra-curricular and co-curricular activities on the campus. It acts as an interface between the teachers and students to sort- out matters concerning student welfare. The committee focuses on all round development of the students by addressing their needs, providing counselling to slow learners, and fostering positive psycho-personal motivation and guidance to them.

Vision of the cell

To encourage students’ individual, academic, and integrated development by providing leadership and counseling services and thus prepare them for a diverse, entrepreneur and global society.

Objectives

  • - Listening to students problems and understanding what is required for their development in any manner.
  • - Assisting the students in their learning process which includes both academics and practical learning experience.
  • - Develop strong student-teacher relationship bond by implementation of mentor-mentee programs and help the students with psychological issues to achieve reconciliation with the self and others.
  • - To organize programs to make students job ready, strengthen the placement cell and make them aware of current career opportunities, motivate students to register and participate in large numbers.
  • - To conduct activities for students and make them experiential learning and activity based learning.
